The Lamy 2000's large rounded barrel is constructed of durable Makrolon, with spring loaded, clip in brushed stainless steel. The fountain pen is enhanced with a platinum-plated 14kt gold nib, available in M, F, & B, piston fill. A matching ball pen and 4-color ball pen are also available. The Lamy Blackwood is a new version of the Lamy 2000 collection. The African Blackwood is dark in color with a fine grain and is extremely hard. The warm sensuality of the wood barrel contrasts with the cool palladium-plated clip and push button mechanism.
