LOUIS COMFORT TIFFANY FAVRILE -------------- Tiffany's Favrile Tornado rollerball pen recalls an iridescent Favrile glass vase (ca. 1900) with a peacock feather motif, produced by the Tiffany Glass and Decorating Company (American, 1892–1902). It's been printed with shimmering metallic inks finished with chrome accents. Both rollerball pens are packaged in a commemorative tube with more information about each design included. Each Tornado has The Met logo imprinted on the finial and is finished with polished trim. Although they are not limited editions, the top rings are engraved with The Met logo and a serial number. These beautiful designs are a must have for any art love. --------------------------------------------------- WILLIAM MORROS BLACKHORN ------------- The "Blackthorn" pattern was designed by textile artist William Morris during the Arts and Crafts Movement of the 19th century. Several colors have been printed around the Tornado's stainless-steel barrel that's finished with a gloss varnish and polished brass accent. --------------------------------------------------- GEOMETRIC SET ------------ The Geometric Pen and Pencil set are decorated with elegant designs inspired by Islamic architectural elements. Each writing instrument has a brass barrel with gold and navy blue or crimson red print on top revealing layers of these intricate designs, each with a gloss varnish. Both of The MET Rollerball and Pencil sets are packaged in a commemorative tube complete with extra lead, erasers, and a foldout print with more information on each design, artwork, and artist. Although they are not limited editions, the top rings are engraved with The Met logo and a serial number. The Met logo is also imprinted on a matching metal top disc. ----------------------------------------------------- VASILY KANDINSKY SET --------- The Vasily Kandinsky Pen and Pencil set features this Russian artist's colorful abstract work from his Kleine Welten (Small Worlds) (1922) portfolio. Each writing instrument presents two bold works silk-screened with a matte finish and chrome accent. |
