Sourcing inspiration from the Visconti archives, this limited edition is modeled after one of Visconti's most memorable and complex designs: the Skeleton. The design of the Skeleton demonstrates one of Visconti's greatest skills, the artisanal craftsmanship of the cut out filigree from a single tube of solid sterling silver, and the ability to achieve intricate details with absolute precision. Visconti began crafting filigrees back in 1993 with the launch of the Visconti Uffizi and over the years has refined and improved the technique with pens like the Ripple or the Watermark. The first collection, launched more than 20 years ago, was characterized by a filigree design based on the combination of the stylized Visconti logo. Today, this new writing instrument brings the skeletonisation technique back to its original inspiration, the human skeleton. As if taken from an X-ray, the sterling silver filigree of organic design stands out against a contrasting colored resin, outlining the shape of the 12 pairs of ribs joined to the spine. The collection is a tribute to Visconti's precious internal workmanship, developed throughout the history of the brand and is available in 2 vibrant colors. The fountain pen is enhanced with a 18kt gold nib, available in EF, F, M, B, and Stub widths. The fountain pen features Visconti's famous double reservoir power filling system with a screw on cap and is presented in a custom Skeleton limited edition box to match the pen. The collection is completed with a matching rollerball.

The lotus flower is recognized by many cultures as a symbol of strength, purity and rebirth. Its spiritual meaning comes to mind as we envisage this beautiful flower, submerged every night in river water, miraculously re-blooming the next morning sparklingly clean. The power of creation is in its DNA, just as it is in ours: Homo Sapiens, the Wise Human. For the return of the iconic Homo Sapiens, Visconti has imagined the colors of the lotus garden, the fascinating environment which is home to the delicate flowers of the aquatic plant Nelumbo. Swirls of lilac, green and white resin combine throughout the pen, accentuated by black trim, which recalls the flower’s reflection in dark pond water, adding to its mystery. Each element harmonizes perfectly, creating an elegant and modern collection that invites you to get close to nature and enjoy its incredible power. The double reservoir power filler is a vacuum filling system that is easy to use and has considerable benefits. Patented in 1998, this is arguably the most advanced filling system ever developed in fountain pen history. The user is able to fill the pen with the equivalent of 10 cartridges of ink, and thanks to the two reservoirs, prevents ink from leaking during air travel.
Finally, the fountain pen is completed with an in-house made ruthenium plated 18k gold nib available in M,F,XF,B, and Stub
The Lotus Garden Limited Edition is individually numbered and limited to 888 pens worldwide. Each pen is presented in a beautifully crafted limited edition box.
Note: Each of these pens has a different pattern and consistency of swirls. We do our best to photograph a pen that’s indicative of the average overall aesthetics, but expect some variance when you receive yours. It’ll be one-of-a-kind, just like your unique writing style!

Exactly 100 years ago, the tomb of Tutankhamun, the most famous pharaoh in ancient Egyptian history, was found. This incredible discovery proved to be one of the most momentous events in 20th century cultural history and to commemorate Visconti is proud to present the ‘Tutankhamun’ Limited Edition. Tutankhamun ruled Egypt as pharaoh for over 10 years until his death at the age of just 19, around 1324 B.C. Though his rule was notable for reversing the religious reforms of his father, Tutankhamun’s legacy was largely negated by his successors. He was barely known to the modern world until November 1922, when British archaeologist Howard Carter chiseled into his intact tomb. The tomb revealed a hoard of treasure, intended to accompany the king into the afterlife, and gave incredible insight into ancient Egyptian life. The discovery also made Tutankhamun the world’s most famous pharaoh. Visconti pays tribute with a pen that depicts many of the sacred artifacts and prominent features from Tutankhamun’s burial tomb. Particular attention has been given to the symbolism and bejeweled magnificence of Tutankhamen’s iconic burial mask. The pen cap and barrel both feature a central band made from ivory colored resin, engraved with hieroglyphics and ancient images from the walls inside the burial chamber, using a scrimshaw technique, a complicated and time consuming process. The engravings are filled with black ink, polished and then hand painted. Strips of blue, red and green enamel are present throughout the pen, reminiscent of the pharaoh's necklace. A series of darker blue enameled stripes adorn the top of the pen cap, as featured on the Nemes cloth covering Tutankhamun’s crown, a symbol of the Pharaoh's power. A cobra is intricately carved into the bottom of the pen cap representing Tutankhamun's rule of Lower Egypt and adorns the headcloth of his burial mask. The design of the blind cap echoes Tutankhamun’s beard. All trims are plated in a luxurious brushed satin yellow gold finish. The Tutankhamun collection is limited to just 100 pieces to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the discovery of his tomb. Each pen is packaged and displayed in an ornate reproduction of King Tutankhamun's sarcophagus. The pen sits inside on a bed of red flocked fabric and can be viewed through the window covering the top of the display. The sarcophagus sits on a pedestal made of olive wood which is engraved with the name of the collection. Available in rollerball or fountain pen, both pens secure with a threaded cap. The fountain pen features Visconti's patented Double-Reservoir, Power-Filler System, ink window and is further enhanced with Visconti's in-house, 18kt yellow gold nib available in EF, F, M, B and Stub widths.

Visconti is delighted to announce the launch of the new Gilded Rose, a spectacular new addition to the award winning Watermark collection and exclusive to the USA. The Watermark is a pen that demonstrates one of Visconti's greatest skills, the artisanal craftsmanship of the cutout filigree, and the ability to achieve intricate details with absolute precision. The Watermark replicates the Visconti logo throughout the pens cap and body like a paper filigree, hence the name 'Watermark'. The design of the pen identifies strongly with the Visconti brand, much like a watermark is an identifying pattern in paper. The filigree for the Gilded Rose is cut out from a solid tube of sterling silver that requires over 20 manual operations to reach the final base of the design. The Gilded Rose overlay is plated in rose gold vermeil and then combined with a deep red demonstrator resin.
The Watermark Gilded Rose is exclusive to the US market, available in fountain pen only, limited to just 40 pieces, and is presented in a special limited edition collectors gift box. Each pen features Visconti's patented Double-Reservoir, Power-Filler System and is further enhanced with Visconti's in-house 18kt rose gold nib available in EF, F, M, B and Stub.

Visconti is delighted to announce the launch of the new il Magnifico Verzino Green, the latest edition from Visconti's iconic il Magnifico series. Inspired by one of the most renowned figures of the Florentine Renaissance, Lorenzo 'Il Magnifico' de' Medici, the Visconti il Magnifico collection personifies the essence of the Renaissance period, combining luxurious and precious materials. For this latest launch, genuine Verzino marble is complemented by an aged silver cap and trim. Lorenzo de' Medici was an Italian Statesman and a 15th century Ruler of the Florentine Republic. This new collection celebrates Lorenzo de' Medici's great passion for art and Florentine tradition. The pen's body is made of fine Italian 'Verzino di Frabosa' green marble. Verzino marble is known for it's delicate streaks that range from grey to green giving the pen its' delicate and elegant appearance. The marble body is octagonal shaped and inspired by the Baptistery of Florence, formed using specific, high-precision machinery. In commemoration of the 700th anniversary of the death of Florence's greatest literary genius, Visconti chose to celebrate the masterful poet with the limited edition Dante Alighieri collection. Dante Alighieri, poet, politician, scholar of philosophy and theology, was born in Florence in 1265 and came of age when the city was experiencing a period of wealth and change. Dante's life was dedicated to the pursuit of art and culture. His true inspiration was always love and the power of his feelings directed towards his muse and lost love, Beatrice. His sublime verses, written in the vernacular considered to be Italy's 'first true language' led to the universal literary masterpiece that is the Divine Comedy. The Dante Alighieri collection is inspired by the different types of love that the poet encounters in the Divine Comedy through hell, purgatory and paradise. Visconti's craftsmanship and artistry is on full display yet again in the detail of the silversmithing and meticulous scrimshaw work throughout the pen that depict different scenes of Dante's Divine Comedy. The cap of the Dante Alighieri pen is entirely dedicated to Paradise, with a quotation from the XXI Canto and an illustration of Beatrice and Dante, also inspired by a Doré tablet. In the center of the pen body, a typical representation of purgatory, made with a silver micro-fusion, shows the fortunate damned spiraling up to heaven. At the bottom of the pen body, hell is depicted with a quotation from Canto V and an illustration freely inspired by a Gustave Doré painting. The protagonists are Paolo and Francesca and their love for one another. The Dante Alighieri collection features: An oversize, pearlescent ivory color acrylic body engraved with scrimshaw detailing on the cap and acrylic sections. The barrel of the pen is also comprised of a cast and metal-worked aged silver section depicting scenes of the infamous poem, Divine Comedy. The fountain pen features Visconti's 18kt white gold nib, available in M,F,XF,B. Power Filler.

Visconti is delighted to present their latest limited edition collection, 'QWERTY'. A pen inspired by the alphanumeric keyboard patented in 1864 by Christopher Sholes. With this pen, Visconti pays homage to a timeless system, born with typewriters, but still present today in everyday life. Sholes designed his keyboard with the key objective to help people type faster. His solution was to separate commonly used letter pairings, such as ST, to avoid ‘typewriter jams’, effectively allowing the typist to type faster, rather than slower.
Sholes named his keyboard 'Qwerty', which spells out the first six 'letter' keys of his iconic keyboard system. The Qwerty collection features: A black acrylic body encased by an engraved, aged sterling silver overlay adorned with detailing in enamel. The pens center band is engraved in Visconti's workshop then enameled with 'Qwerty' in both upper and lower case. The pressure fit clip is embellished with an element that recalls a traditional typewriter key. The sterling silver overlay is engraved on three different levels with a special technique which gives the writing instrument a three-dimensional effect.
The fountain pen features Visconti's 18kt gold nib with a ruthenium finish, available in M,F,XF,B and Stub. The edition is limited to 388 pieces worldwide.

Leonardo Da Vinci Machina
Visconti is delighted to announce the Leonardo Da Vinci Machina pen in celebration of the amazing artist, architect, engineer, and scientist.
The Machina was inspired by the desire to celebrate Leonardo Da Vinci's lifetime achievements. A man as well known in the art community as he was in the science and mathematics industries, Visconti commemorates Da Vinci's life on the 500th anniversary (May 2nd, 1519) of the Italian legends passing. He was born near Florence, Italy and celebrated world-wide for the immense impact he had on popular culture.
Visconti chose to highlight his engineering talent for the design of the Machina collection. Hand-crafted in two different limited-edition finishes-solid silver and vermeil, the cap and barrel feature beautiful details of the technical drawings of some of Da Vinci's revolutionary machines collected from the famous Codex Atlanticus. The use of the scrimshaw technique and a colored pigment are a tribute to Da Vinci's beloved red chalk drawings, showing once again the remarkable technical and artistic expertise of Visconti's craftsmen. This limited edition pen comes in an expertly crafted icosahedron-shaped gift box that has a hinged-lid and opens to feature a gear shape that holds the Machina pen.
Available as a fountain pen or rollerball, the collection is limited to 288 pieces in the silver, 288 pieces in the vermeil. The fountain pen features Visconti's power filler system, and is enhanced with Visconti*s large, flexible 18kt gold nib, available in F, M, and 1.3mm Stub widths, and Visconti*s large, flexible 23kt Palladium Dreamtouch nib available in EF and Broad widths.

Casa Batlló is one of Antoni Gaudí's masterpieces. It is a renowned building located in the center of Barcelona, Spain. A remodel of a previously built house, it was redesigned by Gaudí in 1904. The ground floor is filled with unusual tracery, irregular oval windows and flowing sculpted stone work. Gaudí avoided the use of straight lines almost completely, and much of the facade is decorated with colorful mosaics made of broken ceramic tiles. The locals refer to Casa Batlló as the “casa del ossos”, or the house of bones, due to its skeletal appearance, or the “casa del drac”, house of the dragon because of the arched roof. The roof is arguably one of the most popular features of the home and looks like the back of a dragon. The roof is said to represent Saint George, the patron saint of Barcelona, and the dragon he mythically battled.
The pen's body and cap are made of three layers; each one is molded in different materials: acrylic, sterling silver and enamel, representing the facade of Casa Batlló. The shape of the cap and the blind cap reflect the design of the roof built from small colorful tiles. The clip represents the lance of Saint George plunged into the back of the dragon. The fountain pen features the famous double reservoir power filler created and patented by Visconti as well as with their iconic 23kt Palladium nib. The collection has been developed with the support of the owners of Casa Batlló, which celebrated the 110 year anniversary since the rebuilding was completed in 1906. As an ambassador of beauty, art and luxury, Visconti has been chosen to represent the spirit of the famous artist and his masterpiece in this latest creation. Strictly limited to 188 pens in each mode.

Amerigo Vespucci Limited Edition
*I reached the land of the Antipodes and I recognized that I was gazing on the fourth part of the Earth. I discovered a continent inhabited by a multitude of peoples and animals, more than our own Europe, than Asia or even than Africa.*
This remark may bring a smile to our lips today, but in 1497 the letter that the Florentine navigator Amerigo Vespucci addressed to Lorenzo de Medici caused such a stir that when Martin Waldseemuller drew the first map of America 10 years later, he named the continent after the feminized Latin version of Vespucci*s name: Americus Vespucius. This notable explorer traveled to the New World on 4 separate occasions, discovering Rio de Janeiro and giving Venezuela, or *Little Venice,* its name.
2012 marks the 500th anniversary of the birth of Vespucci. To create a pen commemorating this important anniversary, Visconti took inspiration from symbolic events and documents, primarily Vespucci*s travels themselves and Waldseemuller*s famous map of 1507. To reproduce portions of the map correctly, Visconti further perfected its scrimshaw technique on special ivory resin, introducing points and chiaroscuro into the graphic work, and embedded the scrimshaw into the pen*s surface. Visconti*s unique 23kt palladium Dreamtouch nib enhances this masterpiece, available in M, F, XF, B, BB, and stub widths. Limited to a total of 500 fountain pens and rollerballs combined in bronze trim and 50 fountain pens and rollerballs combined in 18kt gold. The fountain pen is filled via the exclusive Visconti Power Filler system. The special presentation box reproduces an astrolabe, the instrument that—in conjunction with the quadrant—allowed Vespucci to complete his voyages.
