Pilot is thrilled to announce that we are releasing 15 mL individual Iroshizuku Ink Bottles. These gorgeous inks have been inspired by beautiful Japanese environments. Each Iroshizuku ink comes in an elegant glass bottle. We will be offering 12 ink colors in the 15 mL bottles - the perfect accessory to any Pilot fountain pen! The name Iroshizuku is a combination of the Japanese words Iro (Coloring), expressing high standards and variation of colors, and Shizuku (Droplet), which embodies the very image of dripping water. Each ink name derives from the expressions of beautiful Japanese natural landscapes and plants, all of which contribute to the depth of each individual hue.

  1. Ajisai, Hydrangea: Rain drops nestle on the petals of a hydrangea as it sits quietly amidst the gentle rain during the monsoon season.
  2. Chiku-rin, Bamboo Forest: A soft breath of wind flowing through the stalks of a bamboo forest.
  3. Fuyu-gaki, Winter Persimmon: A lusciously ripe persimmon, a color long used in Japan since around the late Heian period.
  4. Hana-ikada, Cherry Blossom Petals: Beautiful cherry blossoms collecting gracefully on top of a flowing river.
  5. Hotaru-bi, Firefly: The soft glow of delicate fireflies creating a bright, chartreuse green with a warm, yellow hue.
  6. Rikka, Snow Crystal: A blue ink reminiscent of the serene dance of snowflakes descending from a crisp winter sky.
  7. Sui-gyoku, Emerald: The deep green shine in a highly precious, esteemed, emerald gemstone.
  8. Syo-ro, Dew on Pine Tree: Symbolizing eternal permanence, this shade of green conjures a dew drop reflecting the pine needles.
  9. Syun-gyo, Spring Dawn: A black ink with an essence of dim red light, as if captured from the calm daybreak in spring.
  10. To-ro, Warm Lantern: An orange ink that brings to mind the sway of lantern light in an alley after rain.
  11. Yama-guri, Wild Chestnut: Ripe, fallen chestnuts during the nostalgic season of autumn.
  12. Yu-yake, Sunset: A sky painted by the evening sunset on a clear day.
