    Omas L.G. Bernini 4th Centenario 1598-1998 Collezione Roma 2000

    Gian Lorenzo Bernini, the famous Italian architect, worked during his career for a rather important pope, Urban VIII. This pope was a great patron of the Barberini family and during his pontificate art was the means used to express and manifest the noble rank of the papal family.
    The Fountain of Bees was created in the seventeenth century which was originally located on the corner of Piazza Barberini and Via Sistina was relocated to Via Veneto in a Recovery and Restoration project conducted by the city of Rome.

    This is the only complete set on the market that is in mint  condition. The Pen has never been inked.

    The pen is made of full solid gold 18k750 with mother in pearl inlays.

    The Crystal display is infused with 18k gold flakes and the bees are solid 18k gold.

    The Pen has a solid 18k gold body with mother of pearl inlays. 

    Only 100 pens have been produced, this one bears the number 034/100

    M-18k gold Nib

    It has all the original packaging, sleeve, pen box, outer box and documents.

    Retail price was $19,000 in 1999.
