Commencing in 1997, the "Originals of their Time" series was meant to replicate five of Pelikan's most famous models of the 1930's. The original models were copied in every detail, size, materials and even weight so that the new pens looked as similar as possible to their antique ancestors.
The "1931 Toledo" is the most beautiful and desirable of the
entire line. This pen replicates in every detail the original model
T111 manufactured by Pelikan in 1931. The cap is in celluloid and
the barrel shows the original damascene decoration which made the
vintage model one of the most desirable vintage grail pens.
