Namiki Yukari Chinkin Kinshu Beauty of Autumn Leavesö - Fountain Pen

Regular price $3,200.00

Pilot is excited to announce the launch of the newest addition to the Chinkin collection, Beauty of Autumn Leaves, Yukari maki-e fountain pen. This incredible fountain pen features a stunning carp motif surrounded by elegant autumn leaves, painstakingly etched, and filled in with gold powder. The leaves were designed based on Momiji, or Japanese maple trees. These leaves are comparable to exquisiteness of brocade silk û richly decorative silks woven with multicolored threads. The symbolism of the Carp is said to be an incarnation of dragons and are symbols of luck and good fortune. The renowned artisan, Yasuji Sumi, used the unique Chinkin technique to create this design. Each pen is truly a masterpiece. Remarkable skill and impeccable craftsmanship bring the Beauty of Autumn Leaves to life through the complex patterns of carved dots and lines that are illuminated with gold powder. Since Chinkin is a carving technique, there is no room for mistakes. Every single carve is a true challenge in the sense of the word. The result is breathtaking. The Yukari Chinkin Beauty of Autumn Leaves is available with a #10 18 karat gold nib in Fin, Medium, or Broad.
