Commencing in 1997, the "Originals of their Time" series was meant to replicate five of Pelikan's most famous models of the 1930's. The original models were copied in most every detail, size, materials and even weight so that the new pens looked as similar as possible to their antique ancestors. This pen closely replicates in every detail the original model manufactured by Pelikan in 1935. The cap and barrel are in celluloid as was the original.
