Pilot Custom 845 Prussian Blue Fountain Pen
Pilot is proud to introduce an elegant new addition to the esteemed Custom 845 collection: Prussian Blue. This timeless fountain pen will now be available in Prussian Blue. This sophisticated hue expands the line beyond its classic Black and rich Vermillion finishes, offering a refined yet striking alternative.
The Custom 845 is meticulously crafted using traditional Urushi lacquer techniques, where multiple layers of natural lacquer are carefully applied, cured, and polished to achieve a deep, lustrous finish. The newly introduced Prussian Blue, known in Japanese as 紺青 (Kon-jo), is an exceptionally challenging color to create.
Achieving this rich, vibrant shade requires expert blending of pigments with Urushi lacquer, resulting in a masterpiece of depth and elegance.
This remarkable writing instrument is designed to suit a variety of writing styles, featuring a beautifully crafted two-toned 18k gold nib and complemented by luxurious gold accents. The Custom 845 seamlessly combines artistry and performance, making it both a treasured writing companion and a distinguished heirloom.
Pilot Custom 845 Prussian Blue Fountain Pen - Fine (F) is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
