Aurora Benvenuto Cellini Sterling Silver Limited Edition Fountain Pen - Medium 18kt Gold Nib

I am not all that familiar with the venerable Aurora Maison, but being an enthusiast of all forms of low and high relief precious metalwork, such as repoussé and chasing, I simply could not resist this Benvenuto Cellini. And I am so happy that I didn’t!

The pen is nothing short of a masterpiece of the bas relief genre, and in even better condition than the excellent close-up photography had led me to believe. As usual, Ed Fingerman and the Back Room team provided a completely accurate description of the pen that shielded me from any unpleasant surprises when I received the parcel, which is just one of the many reasons I have been a repeat customer of the Back Room.

To top it all off, this Benvenuto Cellini writes with an oh-so-smooth Fine nib, and the barrel has just the correct lightness of being for long journaling sessions. Una pena meravigliosa!
