A spectacular 2003 Sailor (aptly named) "Nagahara" Fountain Pen, Limited Edition #96 of 100, with Naginata Cross Emperor 21kt Gold Broad Nib!! Produced by Sailor in cooperation with Classic Pens and Murelli. Based on the Profile of the 1990s Sailor #80 Fountain Pen, the Pen Body is Slightly Longer than a Sailor Large 1911. Cartridge/Converter Fill.
The Late Mr. Nobuyoshi Nagahara, the legendary nib designer and craftsman, joined Sailor in 1946, at the age of 14. He dedicated his over 60 years of work to perfect the fountain pen nib. The Naginata Cross Emperor is one of his Most Famous Nibs. It has the normal vertical slit from iridium tip to breather hole as well as a horizontal slit across the iridium. The slits, together with a gold bar above the nib, ensure smooth and efficient writing. The line width is broad and a little wet.
