The Monteverde MP1 Woman with a Hat Numbered Edition is inspired by Henri Matisse’s groundbreaking 1905 masterpiece. Known for its unexpected colors and energetic brushwork, Woman with a Hat helped define the Fauvist movement and challenged traditional ideas of portraiture.
Individually numbered pieces, this edition captures the painting’s vivid palette, expressive contrasts, and fearless creativity through an advanced, multi-stage printing process. The artwork is beautifully reproduced across the stainless steel cap, complemented by a coordinating lacquered aluminum blind cap.
The MP1 features Monteverde’s seamless one-piece transparent grip and barrel, providing excellent comfort, durability, and a clear view of the generous 2 ml ink reservoir. Hidden beneath the blind cap is the Lock-It™ piston mechanism, designed to prevent accidental movement during use or travel. The front section is permanently integrated and should not be unscrewed.
Writing performance is powered by a premium German-made #6 JoWo nib, available in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad, Stub, and Omniflex. A plasma-treated feed delivers smooth, consistent ink flow, while the integrated piston system fills directly from bottled ink.
Proudly assembled in California, the MP1 Woman with a Hat Numbered Edition is available as a standalone pen or in a special gift set with a 15 ml ink bottle or cylindrical MP1 pen holder.
