Omas Paragon Grigio Perla Fountain Pen
A classic celluloid reborn
Grigio Perla celluloid first came onto the market after production was finished in the year 1932. Although it was featured heavily on pens of the time, when customers tended to prefer monochrome pens, Grigio Perla really started to shine with the release of the Cinema pen. The Cinema was released to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the “birth date” of modern cinema in 1995, paying homage to the fact that film itself is likewise created with cellulose nitrate. Nearly thirty years later, the material can shine again. Eighty-eight units of Paragon have been carved out of this understatedly beautiful celluloid and, for the first time, has been married to black ruthenium plated furniture and nibs.
Kodachi nibs available
The Paragon: Grigio Perla will be available in all of our standard nib sizes. In addition to these however, we are offering the option to select nibs with the Kodachi grind. Created by Mr. Yukio Nagahara, the Kodachi grind allows the user to achieve many different variations of line width by changing their writing angle. These grinds have been applied to our nibs by the nibmeister Matthew Chen, who learned the technique from Mr. Nagahara himself.--
